What We Do
Members may participate in any or all of our activities. All activities are coordinated by homeschool mothers and fathers giving freely of their time, and we rely on volunteers to keep things running smoothly. All events are coordinated by volunteers, our members. All members have the opportunity to choose which events in which they would like to volunteer. Below are possible events that have occurred in the past. This is YOUR group.
Service Projects – ICARE is a ministry-led group. We hope to have multiple service projects throughout the year for all ages. You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. --Matthew 5:14-16
Care Support – We provide prayer and support for our members in need.
Talent Show/Recognition Night – If you have a talented child or want to recognize an achievement or have a graduating senior, you don’t want to miss this event.
Parties – We like to have fun! We have had Pool parties, "Not Back to School" Parties, Fall Festivals, Christmas Parties, Valentine’s Day Parties, and Field Days!
Mom’s Night Out – Fellowship over dinner, coffee, etc.
Field Trips – Volunteers from the group coordinate field trips to a wide variety of venues all around the Greater Houston area.
Park Days – We meet at a park in Spring for a couple hours in the afternoon.
