Statement of Faith
We believe the Bible is the inspired and infallible Word of God and the supreme authority for all faith and life. We believe there is one God, Creator of heaven and earth, who has existed from all eternity. We believe in the virgin birth, sinless life, literal death, and bodily resurrection of Jesus Christ, who is God come to earth in human flesh, being fully God and fully man—except without sin. We believe in the Holy Spirit who was sent from God the Father to testify of Christ, convict the world of sin, and guide believers into all Truth.
We believe that all men are in violation of God’s righteous requirements and doomed to eternal destruction without salvation. We believe that Jesus Christ came to earth to die so that men could be reconciled to God. We believe salvation is freely offered to every man and that this gift must be responded to in individual faith, not trusting in any personal works whatsoever, but rather in the sacrificial death and resurrection of Jesus Christ alone.
We believe God calls us to lives of holiness, being pure of heart, mind, word, and deed. We are to reserve sexual activity to the sanctity of marriage, a lifelong commitment before God between a man and a woman.
We believe that those who have received this salvation are Christians, followers of Christ, who have chosen to live according to the two greatest commandments as stated in Matthew 22:37-39 (NIV):
Jesus replied, Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: Love your neighbor as yourself.
